You Made Me Love You
Like many, I didn't have a Barbie doll growing up. Not because of any real reason against them—it just wasn’t a part of my sisters and my toy repertoire.
Initially I wasn’t really interested in the “Barbie” movie. Yet, the publicity—one of the best publicity campaigns I have ever seen—intrigued me. So, off I went with group of friends one sunny afternoon. We were all pleasantly surprised.
Yes, I loved America Ferrara’s monologue about all we have to do as women, it hit home. I also loved the sets—colorful, well thought-out, and in a strange way its own character. I was so impressed by the creativity of Barbie Land that I might have to go back for the story. :)
If you haven’t seen it yet, go—go before you read any spoilers!
For those of you who are not aware, “You Made Me Love You” is a great song. Here is one of my favorite versions.
